Hi, I'm Isaac. Nice to meet you.
I've always loved building things, which is why I studied mechanical engineering, but after graduating college I was having a hard time finding a job. I was given the opportunity to begin coding and never looked back. Instead of building physical objects, I get to build virtual objects by constructing things with my mind. I am always striving to level up my skills and learn new things. I count myself lucky to be able to wake up each morning looking forward to the work I am going to be doing.
Designer
The simplest UI is often the hardest to find. Something that seems so intuitive, you wouldn't think there was any other way to do it.
Favorite Tools:
- Pen & Paper*
*I like to sketch out a bunch of designs. Then pick the best one and code it out. This wouldn't work for all teams, but it works for our team.
Coder
It's always fun to put my headphones on, my hood up, and get lost in a world of code. One of my favorite places to be.
Favorite Languages:
- C#
- Javascript
- Html,CSS
- C++
Creator
Whether it's music, art, photography, legos, or anything else; I just love creating stuff.
Favorite Things to Make:
- Back-End Products
- Front-End Products
- Websites
- Soundtracks
- Abstract Paintings
Examples (Axiom)
Axiom is Canary Lab's primary data visualization tool. The product is a single page web app that allows users to build their own dashboards and connect data feeds to controls using a drag and drop interface. Dashboards can be saved, shared, and even used to schedule automated reports. The back-end is built on C#, and the front-end also features a C# scripting editor that allows users to write their own interactions using the API Documentation which is generated using SandCastle. I am the main contributor to this product.
NFT
I became interested in blockchain development about a year ago. I wanted to learn more about it, so I enrolled in a bootcamp. Before I finished the bootcamp I had an idea for an NFT collection. This work is still on-going. But please check out my progress and let me know what you think :)
The website features a different NFT each day. There is a node.js proxy server that picks a random song for the day. There are 5 different rarities and each rarity is represented by a different color. The website theme color is dynamic and gets set to the color of the rarity of the daily featured NFT.
Music
I started playing piano at a young age. My parents paid for me to have lessons, which I appreciated, but didn't put much effort into. I was always a bit surprised when my teacher would say that it sounded good when I knew I had only practiced about an hour before the lesson. I've always had an appreciation for music, but that appreciation has only grown as I've grown older. It becomes more and more fun to sit down at the piano and get lost in the music that almost effortlessly flows from my fingers.
In high-school I played in the church worship band, but was always a little envious of the guitar players because I really liked rock music at the time. So I learned that too. But piano/synth is now my main instrument of choice.
Here are some songs I created, that I probably should have tried to market in some way or another. I'd like to record some more songs when I can carve out the time to do so. There are so many things I wanted to be. Can I be a musician/recording artist as well?
I created the iZ3k logo using Blender, which is a 3D animation software tool. I've always been facinated by animations and video game creation as well :) It sucks to only have one life... when there are so many things to learn and do.
